For Protein, creating and performing dance is crucially connected with everyday life. Artistic Director, Luca Silvestrini takes everyday issues and subjects them to a deep, witty analysis through his own very idiosyncratic and distinctive dance theatre.
Driving the approach is a desire to connect theatrical experience with the life stories of participants - amateur or professional - and audiences. The result is work of humour, pathos and invention which reflects the integrity and absurdity of its ingredients.
Protein became a resident artist at Greenwich Dance in October 2010. They will present an excerpt of their work-in-progress L.O.L (lots of love) at the Christmas Cabaret on 3 December. This profound and comical piece of dance theatre explores love and connectedness in the electronic age.

Best Modern Choreography: Luca Silvestrini for LOL (lots of love)
Outstanding Modern Female Performer: Sally Marie in LOL (lots of love).
LOL (lots of love) is back on tour from 27 January.
