Flamenco
with Flamenco Express
The traditional dance of Spain, Flamenco embodies sensuality, strength and confidence. It is characterised by fast, precise footwork, stamping the feet to create rhythms that become part of the music.
La Joaquina, a resident artist at Greenwich Dance, is the principal dancer and director of Flamenco Express, which has toured Britain and Europe for over 15 years, presenting a spectacular range of genuine and original artistry. She teaches beginners and intermediate level classes, accompanied by live music from Chris Clavo on acoustic guitar.
Beginners 6:30 - 8:00pm
This class introduces and develops all elements of Flamenco including footwork, arms and marking, uniting the different aspects through their common rhythms and forms. Come and taste this sensual art-form, and take your first steps to obsession.
