Greenwich Dance provides a supportive and inspiring environment for dance artists giving them the opportunity to maintain and develop their skills, extend their practice, take daily classes, create new work, rehearse, share ideas, present work-in-progress and perform in a range of settings.
Each year, Greenwich Dance welcomes many professional dance artist through its doors and has developed a national and international reputation for its artist-friendly approach.
In 2009/10, Greenwich Dance's Professional Development Programme included:

Skills’n’Drills – a week-long intensive course curated by Robert Hylton which provides advanced level training opportunities for dancers who want to embrace the art and discipline of Hip Hop dance.

London Dance International– an annual three-week initiative comprising workshops and discussions delivered in partnership with Chisenhale Dance Space and Independent Dance

Performance opportunities for 48 artists/companies at gDA cabarets and other events

Choreographic workshop– a week-long course with Frauke Requardt

Providing 2703 hours of rehearsal space to artists

3 commissions of new work: Common Dance by Rosemary Lee, MIKS, and Probe in addition to 23 commissions for gDA Cabarets.
