Dance Projects and Partnerships

Greenwich Dance is committed to supporting the thriving UK dance scene, and developing partnerships is at the heart of what we do. Working closely and collaboratively with other organisations maximises the impact and reach of our work, and ensures the projects we develop jointly are greater than the sum of their parts.

CitytoCity Cabaret

The City to City Cabaret is a collaborative dance event produced by Greenwich Dance (UK), Full House Promotion (Greece), the Croatian Institute for Movement and Dance/HIPP (Croatia) and Heteropodi Dance (Bulgaria). The cabarets take place in the capital cities of each partner country.  Based on the Greenwich Dance cabaret in London, the CitytoCity Cabaret presents a unique dance performance in a cabaret context, showcasing the work of local professional artists alongside pieces by amateur performers, with guest dancers from the four partner cities, local musicians and a compère.

Recently the CitytoCity Cabaret was staged in an Athens bar, and included an impromptu solo by Nigel Charnock alongside Greek folk dance and a host of other exciting acts. The next stop for the CitytoCity Cabaret is Greenwich Dance, London, on Friday 21 January. Click here to find out more about this event.

The CitytoCity project aims to promote the diversity of European dance by facilitating creation and performance opportunities and cultural exchange between artists, cultural leaders and creative entrepreneurs. It is funded by the culture programme of the European Union: Executive Agency Education Audiovisual and Culture.
