An international reference for dance. The Acosta Dance Centre is a network for dance-creative practitioners, industry professionals and the community with dance-related interests. It is a destination for dance education and workshops. They allow international dance encounters and other related cultural events, emphasising the development of young people’s creativity and talent through dance and a direct engagement with boys, girls, and young men & women from disadvantaged backgrounds. They provide a multifaceted, unique approach by bridging dance and community engagement gaps. Beeja Dance

Location: Croydon, classes take place at CVA, Centrale shopping centre, Upper Mall

Beeja was started by Anusha Subramanyam – dancer, choreographer, teacher and dance movement therapist – who is seen as one of the most exciting exponents of bharatanatyam working ‘inside’ and ‘outside’ of its tradition. Her work is trans-cultural and inter-generational. She has also worked extensively with people who are differently abled.

Dynamix Dance

Kiduku Rhythms

A regular AfroDance class inspired by Kiduku Rhythms’ classes in Greenwich Park which were programmed by Greenwich Dance. Classes are aimed at adults; children and young people may participate if registered by a responsible adult; under 14’s must be accompanied throughout.

Magpie Dance

The UK’s leading dance charity for people with learning disabilities.

Through dance, their participants gain life, social and communication skills with added health and wellbeing benefits. Protein Dance

One of the most distinctive voices in British dance theatre, Artistic Director Luca Silvestrini has been using a blend of original choreography, text, music and social commentary to engage and entertain audiences and participants for over two decades. Woolwich Works

Woolwich Works is a multi-disciplinary cultural hub on the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich.
