Nobody’s Baby Dance Marathon

Nobody’s Baby choreographed by Arthur Pita will be produced in 2014 and is based on the American phenomenon of the 1930s Depression, where couples danced almost non-stop in a desperate competition for prize money.

In preparation for the production, 8 performers will recreate the atmosphere of a dance marathon over 100 hours. Each hour there will be periods of dance and resting, with some longer breaks as necessary.

The brave performers are Helen Ashauer, Bettina Carpi, Amir Giles, Benny Maslov, Kate Emma Nelson, Scarlett Perdereau, Nuno Queimado, Jordi Serrats and Ewan Wardrop as MC.

This is an experiment - anything can happen!

The marathon will be accessible to audiences throughout, to watch at The Borough Hall or via live-stream below.

Frank Moon and band will also be playing live, and the bar will be open at selected sessions:

Monday 5:00-8:00PM

Wednesday 7:00-10:00PM

Friday 6:00-9:00PM
