The world is changing and we are all doing what we can to cope and adjust. We here at Greenwich Dance want to reassure our dancing community – be you professional or non-professional – that whilst you may be being asked to isolate you need not feel isolated as we are devising ways of both entertaining you and keeping you connected and fit through virtual and online platforms. If you haven’t already, do sign up to our newsletter

Adults Classes
Current participants are welcome to a refund if you have paid for this term (please email us) but we also ask you to consider donating the remaining fee to the organisation. We will use any donations to help cover the fees of the freelance dance artists we work with as we are committed to honouring their contracts.

We are, however, also talking to artists about ways in which we might be able to offer the class to you in a virtual format. We will be in touch soon with more news!

Dancing to the Music of Time
As one of our most vulnerable groups we are very conscious we need to ensure you are kept safe but have the ability to connect with your dancing friends.

We are exploring a virtual version of the class with artist Maria Ghoumrassi and will be in touch soon with more news

Up My Street SHOWTIME!
We will be cancelling the physical performances of Up My Street SHOWTIME! but are instead working with the artists to find another exciting way of entertaining you using online platforms and social media.

We know that now more than ever people will be wanting to feel their community nearby and we are working to find ways to reduce the boredom of self or forced isolation and quarantine with a new format for the programme. Watch this space!

Tea Dances and Family Days
Our tea dances and family days will be postponed until further notice. We will let you know via the newsletter when we are able to resume dancing….but we are planning something fun for the summer which EVERYONE can take part in virtually so do watch this space.

NRgDance
We are working with artists and the young people from Lotus Youth Dance Company to explore ways we might be able to continue training and connecting virtually. We will be in touch soon with more news.

And finally …can we ask you something?
The next few months will put Greenwich Dance under intense financial pressure.

If you can afford to make a donation to help us continue to find ways to support our Greenwich communities and freelance dance artists in these uncertain times we would be very grateful.
