Lindy Hop is often known as the ‘Grandfather of Swing’ and is a vibrant, joyful and fun partner dance. Originating in the early 1900s in the ballrooms of Harlem, Lindy Hop was influenced by dances such as the Charleston.
During the course you will learn a brief history of the dance style, basic footwork and steps, posture and co-ordination, and simple (but impressive!) routines. Build skills and confidence to dance in a group, on your own and with a partner to a range of uplifting jazz band music. No partner needed.
