Lindy Hop

We will be confirming terms for the Summer Term as soon as we can, but at the moment we're not in a position to open bookings. Please keep checking the website for further details. To receive a reminder email, join our Courses and Classes mailing list.

Lindy Hop with Temujin Gill is a fun and challenging course that will bring you into the vibrant world of social partnered dance made famous in the Savoy Ballroom and films such as Hellzappopin.

Born from the original jazz dances that evolved in the US, Lindy Hop is the grandfather of all Jive and Swing dances. With a holistic approach to dance, Temujin will equip you with the foundation, language, skills and confidence to express yourself and find joy in moving to a groove and connecting with a partner.

Temujin Gill

Temujin is an Associate Artist at Greenwich Dance, ex-Jiving Lindy Hopper, co-choreographer for the Olympic Opening Ceremony and founder of Temujin Dance.

Temujin's diverse background in dance culminates in a contemporary style of work rooted in classic jazz and hip hop dance that he has developed together with long term colleague Sunanda Biswas. Both Temujin and Sunanda co-choreographed of the Olympic Opening Ceremony NHS sequence Swing Out Sisters, which featured 352 beds and 600 dancing staff.

Temujin has performed work at many Greenwich Dance events including Cabarets, Low-Tech Saturday and Greenwich World Cultural Festival. Temjuin often rehearses at Greenwich Dance and teaches Lindy Hop classes as well as sessions at the Primary Care Trust as part of Dance To Work.
