Lotus Youth Dance Company
Be part of our exciting flagship youth dance company, delivered in partnership with Greenwich and Lewisham Young People's Theatre (GLYPT) and under the Artistic Direction of Colleen Joseph.
Learn skills, build friendships and make creative and exciting performance pieces ready to share at shows and platforms all over the Borough and beyond.
With its roots in hip hop dance theatre and inspiration from a wide range of other dance styles including contemporary, this group is designed for young people aged between 13 – 19 years who live or go to school in South East London who want to take their love of dance to the next level. Weekly classes cover technique and performance skills and throughout the year there will be opportunities to experience guest workshops, see live performances and take part in training and workshops to develop your skills and understanding of music, dance, choreography and theatre. Those that want to progress onto further training will also be given and advice and support from Colleen, Greenwich Dance and GLYPT.
Open auditions take place in Autumn and Spring and the company meet weekly at The Tramshed in Woolwich.
