Greenwich Dance is delighted to offer Creative Dance & Movement sessions for women aged 16+, in partnership with The Greenwich Vietnamese Women’s Group.
Get active and dance in a fun and friendly class. The teaching style is fully inclusive and suitable for women of all ages with little or no dance experience. You will learn dance techniques to improve posture, co-ordination and fitness as well as create your own movements to build towards routines. This class will help you to feel creative and free!

Maria da Luz Ghoumrassi is a dancer, teacher and choreographer/movement director. She is experienced in a diversity of styles and has been working with a range of groups from children to older people and professional dancers. She is a Spare Tyre Artist Associate working with people with Learning disabilities, as a mentor and choreographer. As a dancer, Maria da Luz has worked with companies including Kokuma, Garth Fagan and the original cast of The Lion King as ensemble and dance-captain. Maria da Luz has choreographed for BBC Three's The Mighty Boosh and has been performing her work at venues across London. She received the Trailblazers Fellowship and was short-listed for The Place Prize in 2004. She was selected for Dance UK Dance Teaching Mentoring Programme and received the Dancers Career Development Retraining Grant, 2016. Maria da Luz has led classes for Green Candle Dance Company, Trinity Laban, Age Exchange, Rambert, among others. She regularly teaches for Greenwich Dance, Step into Dance and Chisenhale Dance Space.
