GLORIA! – The Director’s Cut

GLORIA! by Roswitha Chesher

In December 2019, we premiered our ‘curiously kitch’ dance film – GLORIA! Created by award-winning film maker Roswitha Chesher, this film was supposed to be a tongue-in-cheek portrayal of our confident vision of Greenwich Dance’s future.

Then 2020 happened.

Since then, so many of our plans for Greenwich Dance have had to be rethought, rejigged and redeveloped but one thing that has been consistent is GLORIA!’s ability to bring a smile to the faces of anyone who watches the film.

But who has been watching GLORIA! – The Director’s Cut, about a ‘famous’ New York choreographer making her first dance film at Greenwich Dance? So far, the 10 minute director’s cut has been shown at dance on screen film festivals in Poland, Sweden, Bulgaria, Scotland, USA (Oklahoma & Dallas) and Ireland!

If you’ve loved it before, we recommend giving it a second viewing. If you haven’t seen it, watch it now – you might see a few faces you recognise!
