Aged 13-18? Audition for Lotus Youth Dance Company

Lotus Youth Dance Company are looking for talented, creative and committed individuals aged 13-18 years to be part of this year’s company.
Lotus Youth Dance Company, delivered in partnership with Greenwich and Lewisham Young People’s Theatre, are on the hunt for new members! Trained and non-trained individuals, aged 13-18yrs are welcome to be part of our incredible youth dance company!

The company seeks to provide a creative and empowering meeting space for motivated young people who want to take a love of dance to the next level. Throughout the year-long programme participants will create, train and perform together as part of a company nurtured by the two creative organisations, Greenwich Dance and GLYPT. Participants will benefit from the facilities and resources of both and will be supported through the programme to access progression advice should they want to take their love of dance and the arts even further.

Our company members have gone on to study at the country’s top performance Institutions and Universities such as The BRIT School, Middlesex UniversityThe PlaceLondon Studios and Laban. Several of them have also been successful in joining one of the UK’s biggest Hip-Hop companies, Boy Blue Entertainment.

Over the last six years, Lotus Youth Dance Company have performed on some of the most prestigious dance platforms all over the UK. Lead by Artistic Director, Colleen Joseph, the company will be working within street and contemporary dance techniques with influences from dance styles from around the world through workshops, theatre trips and projects.

Auditions will take place on Tuesday 25 September 2018, 5pm – 7pm at The Tramshed, 51-53 Woolwich New Road, London SE18 6ES. You do not need to prepare anything, just come along!
