1. Breakin' Convention - Next Day Delivery: Ana Paz and Helder Delgado

Created as part of Breakin’ Convention’s Next Day Delivery challenge where artists are tasked to make a film by interpreting music they’ve never heard, props they didn’t know they had to use (glass) and a lyric they had to include (“eggs maybe”).

2. Social House Films - The Ballerina (a short horror film)

This gruesome 8 minute horror film is not for the faint-hearted. If you are a fan of the horror genre and you love dance, this film is for you!

3. Dance Europe - Arthur Pita, dancer to choreographer

The Portuguese choreographer shares his story in dance, which began with disco-dancing as a child in South Africa. He subsequently went on to train at the London Contemporary Dance School and danced with many different companies including English National Opera and New Adventures. Developing his choreography alongside his dancing career, he has created over 70 pieces for companies around the world including The Royal Ballet, Paris Opera and San Francisco Ballet. He also runs his own company, Ballo Arthur Pita and featured in a recent episode of our Talking Moves podcast.

A short dance film about Corey Claire Annand’s personal journey with scoliosis. Created to inspire the younger generation of curvy spines to seek self-acceptance through movement exploration. For more information, see Corey’s website.

5. Ghost and John - Radio Neighbourhood

With a creative team of East and Southeast Asian artists, this performance tells stories about cross-cultural interactions and engages with post-humanist thinking. It explores humanity’s desire for the ideal society and addresses the most pressing concerns of the modern world, including migration and human rights.
