Dance On Screen
1. Ma - The Space Between All Things
Created by NOWNESS for their Just Dance series, this video has everything you would expect from a dance film. Outstanding dancers, a unique soundscape and, of course, an Icelandic ice storm…

2. The Mirror - Danim Studios
This is a deeply poignant animated dance film by Danim Studios with choreography by Travis Wall. Even though the characters are animated, you can really feel the emotion of the piece. It’s worth a look.

3. Dancing at Dusk - A moment with Pina Bausch's The Rite of Spring
Full disclosure – this piece of art will cost you £5 to enjoy but we reckon it’s going to be worth it. Sadler’s Wells were in the midst of producing a brand new show in Senegal when coronavirus hit. This extraordinary film was made on the beach at Toubab Dialaw and features 38 dancers performing Pina Bausch’s iconic choreography. Proceeds from the streaming will go towards supporting the artists and the future life of the production. Available from midday on Wednesday 1 July on Sadler’s Wells website. Until then, here’s a trailer:
