Greenwich Dance Tea Dances are back but have been given a contemporary twist with popular tunes mixed in with old favourites! In addition our host, Peter Meager of Equality Dance has a welcoming and inclusive approach which encourages you to lead or follow irrespective of gender!

A workshop will be held before hand for guests to learn the basic steps and refresh their memories.

The event is suitable for all ages and levels. No need to bring a partner - we can always help to pair you up - although couples are of course very welcome.

There will be a variety of sequence and line dances, (which are set routines - usually 16 bars long that are repeated) plus invitations to dance freely to a range of music to include waltz, foxtrot, tango and cha cha cha!

Before the Tea Dance itself Peter will be leading a one hour workshop designed to give beginners (or those who feel a bit rusty) the chance to learn a few steps. He will concentrate on the four most popular dances: waltz, quickstep, cha cha cha and jive.

"An impressive and inclusive experience. Great teaching & friendly stuff. A lovely Saturday afternoon’’
