Join our performance company for adults, bringing people and creative ideas together. Our new performance company is for anyone over the age of 18 and we welcome mixed abilities. Expect to create together and work collaboratively with likeminded individuals, developing movement material for the stage. During Summer Term, the group will start working in a creation period of 5 weeks, then a further 5 weeks they will continue to rehearse and refine their work for non traditional performance venues across Greenwich, including outdoors spaces. Dates: Every Tuesday Block 1: 26 April - 24 May Block 2: 7 June - 5 July 2022) The company is offered to book in x2 blocks. Block 2 will be available to book from 24 May Led by professional dance artist Maria Ghoumrassi the group will meet weekly and explore multiple techniques and creative tasks that are adaptable to suit the needs of individual bodies. No experience needed. The company is a great way to stay creatively and physically active. Come and join us and get ready to embark on an exciting new journey in dance! Who's Who

Maria Ghoumrassi

Dancer, choreographer, educator and movement director

Maria da Luz works through multidisciplinary arts to develop intercultural performance and has extensive experience working with a diversity of groups ranging from early years to older dancers, including performers and people with disabilities.

She was in the original cast of The Lion King and has performed with various companies including TV work. She has recently performed for Tate Modern and The London College of Fashion.

She has worked for Greenwich Dance for over 10 years as artistic director of Dancing to the Music of Time, an over 55’s group, and delivering professional and community classes.

“Despite being taken beyond my comfortable zone, I have now began to feel braver and see the incredible potential that technology can present to us to support the work we aim to do to connect communities.”
