Discover Greenwich Park with our fun Move and Play session in the park for Families. You will be guided by a dance artist who will encourage you to find creative and playful ways to move, inspired by the park surroundings.

What to expect

  • Take part in playful creative movement, through listening, imagery, music and movement
  • We may play music as we dance
  • Do check and come dressed for the weather

*All are welcome, young and older, but all adults must be accompanied by a little mover aged 3yrs+

Supported by a Royal Borough of Greenwich Innovation Grant.

Our first class took place on Saturday 4 March, when young participant Adam was the star of the world premiere of Stick Dance, which he co-choreographed with class leader Lewis.

Lewis Sharp

Lewis is a professional dancer with training from The BRIT School and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Highlights of Lewis’s career include dancing for Garsington Opera, The V&A Museum, Glastonbury Festival, and creating his own work. Lewis has an extensive amount of working within education and community settings that include Trinity Laban, Royal Academy of Dance, DanceWest, and The Royal Ballet School. His approach to dance is to make it inclusive, exploratory, playful and fun! He aims for everyone to have a taste of creative dance with no expectation of it being so serious! Lewis is really excited to be returning to this project with Greenwich Dance!
