Curated with support from Frankie J and Vibes On Vibes, Summer Sessions take place on Friday evenings in Greenwich Park. The skate jams are free to attend and join in, we just ask that you sign up in advance if you want to skate.
In addition to the Skate Jam, we’re also excited to be joined by Osian Meilir‘s Welsh folk-dancing and queer nightlife inspired show – Qwerin.
What to expect:

Who's Who
Osian Meilir
Osian Meilir is a performer, dance-maker and movement artist from Wales. Originally from Pentre’r Bryn, on the west coast of Wales, Meilir went on to train at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, attaining a first-class degree, before continuing his studies and completing his M.A. in Dance Performance as part of Transitions Dance Company.
Meilir’s work as a performer has seen him working with artists such as Jo Fong, Lizzi Kew Ross & Co, Gwyn Emberton Dance, Satore Tech and Fearghus O’Conchuir at National Dance Company of Wales. His work also expands into working in theatre for young audiences, performing in works by Carlos Pons Guerra and Cahoot NI, touring across the UK and internationally, as well as his own solo work for Arad Goch Theatre Company – Palmant / Pridd (Pavement / Pasture). He premiered his first mid-scale production – ‘Qwerin’, as director and choreographer in 2021 and developed and expanded the work to its full length for touring in 2022. ‘Qwerin’ has since toured internationally, appearing in festivals in Australia in 2023. Meilir also has extensive experience in leading workshops and classes for children, young people and adulst alike.
Meilir’s very early experiences and background of Welsh folk dance has led him to appreciate dance from all different cultures, and to enjoy how dance can build meaningful bridges between people from around the world.

Frankie Johnson
Frankie Johnson aka Frankie J – The Red Dread House Head
Originally from Bristol, UK, Frankie is a rare individual who matches his raw natural dance talent with hard work and discipline and has developed into one of the best representing House Dancers internationally of today in his current generation.
Having trained from a young age in numerous dance disciplines – both within contemporary and forms of Street & Club Dance, Frankie was selected to be part of the Swindon Youth Dance Academy where he was mentored by some of the best instructors in the UK. From there, he went on to earn a First Class degree in contemporary dance from London Contemporary Dance School at The Place, graduating in 2013.
Upon finishing his studies, Frankie has focussed mainly on the House Dance style, gaining respect and numerous titles at worldwide competitions and events such as House Dance Europe, IBE, Flavourama, Urban Moves, Step Ya Game Up, Juste Debout & Summer Dance Forever. He was also invited to join Plague Dance Crew & InDaHouse in 2012, Deep Manners in 2018 and Sour Patch Collective – Worldwide in 2019.
Now, Frankie’s aim is to share his vision of embodying and combining his physical and mental understanding of his body in harmonising his technical background and training, with his contribution of preserving House music and House Dance Culture of his generation.
