£80.00 – £8.00 per session. Our top price is significantly lower than other classes in London.

£50.00 – £5.00 per session. You still get the same excellent quality class or event, just at a level you feel more comfortable with.

£20.00 – £2.00 per session. Every contribution helps.

£0.00 – Our classes and events will always be free regardless of whether you can contribute or not.

Join our weekly session of creative mindful movement. Our session aims to improve your mental and physical wellbeing in an inclusive and fun environment.
These sessions will allow you to refocus your energy, deepen your connection to your body and leave you feeling confident, energised and grounded.

What to expect

Each week you will;

  • take part in a seated warm up checking in with our breathing and body
  • learn movement led by an artist
  • play and improvise with movement ideas
  • be inspired by our location and surroundings
  • create and share
  • appreciate and feedback

Dance for Wellbeing is kindly supported by BETTER Plumstead Library team, who provide free tea, coffee and biscuits available to attend after the session. All are welcome to attend either of all of the sessions.

Dance for Wellbeing is for Adults/ Older Adults and is free to join. However, if you are able to contribute to the running of these sessions we would be very grateful.

Who's Who

Maria da Luz Ghoumrassi

Dancer, choreographer, educator and movement director

Maria da Luz Ghoumrassi works through multidisciplinary arts to develop intercultural performance and has extensive experience working with a diversity of groups ranging from early years to older dancers, including performers and people with disabilities.

She was in the original cast of The Lion King and has performed with various companies including TV work. She has recently performed for Tate Modern and The London College of Fashion.

She has worked for Greenwich Dance for over 10 years as artistic director of  our Performance Company for Adults, Lead artists for our Dance for Wellbeing programme,  Maria also delivers professional and community classes.
